Alain is the Head Athletic Therapist and Strength Coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club. Starting with the Blue Bombers as a student therapist in 2003, Couture became the full-time assistant in 2004. In 2005, he graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science – Athletic Therapy degree, and became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2005.
Couture is also a Registered Massage Therapist through the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His football experience also consists of working in the NFL, as he has worked off-season training camps with the Kansas City Chiefs (2007), Minnesota Vikings (2008), and the San Francisco 49ers (2009). Alain has been an instructor at ECMT since 2009.
