Jackie Halliburton

Jackie has been with the college since 1996, and in that time, has served in both an advisory and teaching capacity. Jackie graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. For 11 years, Jackie was a Public Health Nurse for the City of Winnipeg. Her extensive knowledge in the areas of communicable disease, health promotion, and disease prevention, enable her to bring clinical experience to our Public Health course. Over the years, Jackie has taken numerous courses in adult education and creative teaching. She utilizes an array of teaching tools in order to address the variety of learning styles our students present us with. Jackie has facilitated faculty development workshops in order to share her experiences and encourage all our instructors to teach outside the box.
